Cards…….

I have never really considered myself a card maker, but lately I have been making alot of cards. It seems that for every layout I complete I want to make a card. Like now, I am going to finish this post, and start on a card, when I should be going to bed. Oh well! Who needs sleep when you have a four year old to keep you awake! And I am certain that this ice cold glass of dr pepper isn’t going to help me sleep!

I have been working on clearing a few things off my scrap board the past few nights. Last night I made a bday card for a cousin. I used the hello kitty shape cartridge. I had a very hard time accepting how much space there is when layering stuff. I cut my layers out a quarter of an inch bigger. I am sure that is the way it is supposed to be, but I don't like it!

Tonight, I checked off cleaning out my scrap box. Although all I did was organize my scraps. You would never believe how much pink paper I have. Well you would if you knew me! I have enough pink scraps to last the rest of the year. I did good though got all the solids organized and put away. For the patterned paper I just stuck all that inside one section. Figured it was too much,. Ok, well I am going to work on my card now, or maybe just go to bed. Not sure yet! Happy Scrapping!

Cards

I would love to say that I have been so so busy scrapping away that I have had not had the time to blog, but the truth is......I have been clipping and printing coupons! Strange huh, well it has been saving me of money! I have been working on a few layouts, and tearing apart a few layouts that I was not happy with. Late last night, I made 3 card with 1 8x8 , and 1 8.5x11 sheets of paper. I made 2 of them for my dd's MDO teachers, the other I made just because I was on a roll! I also worked on my Whimsical Bugs Challenge for this week, for that I made a birthday card for my mom. I liked the colors we had to use Brown, Red, Yellow, Tuquorise, and White.
So, thats all for now. Hopefully I can try and blog more often. Have a great Memorial weekend!

Strawberries

Thanks to my good "Scrapbook Friend" Kristin, who called me up yesterday to tell me how I had to go and get the Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge! Why, because of the strawberry! Anyone who know's me, know's my daughter LOVES strawberries! The funny thing is when I went over to Michael's on Sunday to pick up the Lyrical Letters cartridge (which is awesome by the way) I picked up HK Greeting, and the strawberry caught my eye but I was good and put it back! Until the the phone rang, and I took my happy little self back to m's to buy my new Hello Kitty Greetings. Now I have 28 and can say at this time there is not a single cartridge on my "need" list!

Any how, today I decided to play with DS and HKG! What fun I had!! I made a strawberry mesh page! It came out soo cute, and only took me half a day and 3 test cuts to get it just right! If you would like the cut file, leave a comment with your email address and I will send it to you ASAP. It does need to be cut on a 12x12 mat. Also, with a thick piece of cardstock, pressure max, speed max and blade 6. Trust me makes it alot easier when trying to get all the little pieces out!!
