PINK! PINK! Everything will be PINK!!

Don't you just love the color pink!? Well, you may or may not but I LOVE it!! This weekend, I painted a few things pink, and when I say a few I only mean 2! I painted my display (is that spelled right??) and my large scraper watermelon pink. They are soo pretty! Wanna see them??

Aren't they soo pretty! I am hoping to have a new desk in a few weeks that will be that color, well the base will anyways.

Now, for a few other creations I made this past week. The first is a called a bragging board, not my original idea, I got the idea from another blog knockoff wood. She has the best furniture plans for those who want to build it. That is also where I found the desk I am hoping to have in a few weeks. I started by wanting the cameron desk, but changed my mind and now have decided on the saw horse desk 2 of them! So back to the board, I took a piece of wood, not sure the size and modge poged some cute paper onto it, then modge poged the clothes pins and glued them down to the wood. I was really impressed with how it turned out.

Now my favorite thing I made this weekend! My new sign!! I saw it last week at a scrapbooking store and had to have it!! So I made it! I used a blank metal sign that I bought from hobby lobby at valentines, some paper from micheals, cardstock from american crafts, vinyl and of course modge podge!! That stuff has become my new bff!! OH!! I also used my gypsy!! I am soo happy with the way it turned out. The center of the sign is from accent essentials and the letters are form opposites attract.

Party time!!!

Just a few short days ago my baby girl turned 5!! The next day she lost her first tooth!! Such a happy last few days we have had!

Back to scrapbooking! Over the past month I have been busy making stuff for Julia's birthday party! I made just about everything that I could. From the party bags to the banner. I used my gypsy for everything I made. I LOVE my Gypsy, I like the fact that while I can look at what I am going to design before I cut it out. So, here is what I made!

The invitation! I made this using the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge. This is the cupcake with the heart, I cut the heart off and added a cherry! Then I embossed the bottom using a Quickutz embossing foler and the top using a Cuttlebug folder. The pink embossed glitter is Zing, I love it!! The pink bow is tied around the cupcake using tule. The back of the invite is solid brown with a pink box with all the party info!!

Here are the party bags, also cut from Sweet Treats! I added the scallops around the top. Then added a cupcake and covered the opening with acetate paper. For handles I used pink tule!

This is a tub I got from the dollar spot at target. I added the cupcake to it using pop dots. Such a cute little thing for utensils.

This one, I did today. I had a hard time finding blowers to match the cupcake theme so here is what I did. I bought some on clearance cut a circle from my cricut of course and stamped the cupcake image on the circle. Then glued it down over the original image!!

And now the banner! This I made from celebrations and alpahlicous. And my new favorite thing to use tulle!! Seriously have you used it yet, its so nice! I took a class with a friend of mine at Archivers and they gave us some to tie around a jar we altered ever since then we have both been addicted to the stuff!!

So, that is what I have been doing! Hopefully after this weekend I will get more done!! Scrapping and blogging!

Happy Valentines Day!

Sign

A few weeks ago while looking threw a card sayings book, I came across this saying my house was clean yesterday, sorry you missed it". I thought it was perfect for my house! It always seems like I clean my house then it will stay clean for a few days, then it gets dirty and someone shows up! So, I finally got around to making it today!! I bought the blank sign from Hobby Lobby and the vinyl is Cricut. For the wording I used Lyrical Letters! Now, on to my next sign, its a NO SOLICITING sign!

I don’t know!! I altered this clipboard today for the Whimsical bugs challenge. I made it to match my kitchen, but not sure what I will use it for.

Calendar

Lately I have been reorganizing everything in my house. When I do this I have a habit of throwing things away, moving things from one room to another or just shoving it in the closet. I recently did this with a memo board I bought from hobby lobby on clearance last year. Half was a chalk board and the other was a cork board. I was tired of  it hanging there on the wall not being used, so I fixed it into something I knew or thought we would use. I took the middle piece of wood out, and made it one large calendar. I used a dry erase board I bought from hobby lobby, then cut strips of vinyl to section it off. I cut the words from the Don Juan cartridge. So, now hopefully we will use it!

I LOVE my Cricut!

Well I have been creating for days now and I must say I love, love, love my Cricut! Don't think that I haven't always loved it, I just seem to love it more today than when I first got my baby bug. Why, you ask well because I have been working on my whimsical bugs dt challenge and it has made me look at all my cartridge's and say "Wow!!" I have used a variety of cartridges for this creation, maybe 5 so far. I am loving it!!

I also started working on my b-day cards for the swap. I am happy with the first set I made not sure what I am doing for the second. For my cards, I used the new EK punch not sure of the name but its the one that looks the paper was torn out of a notebook. I have had this punch since the beginning of the month and barely used it last night!

B-day cards.....

Altered sign

I never know how to start a new subject! I always start then delete, the restart then delete again! Anyways, this is a sign I made over the weekend! I bought the sign from hobby lobby and used my cricut and wall pops to decorate it!! The font is zooballo, and the bunny is from doodlecharms. I also outlined it with stickles.
